Abstract Submission Guidelines

The abstracts submission is closed.

The main categories will be:

  • Energy Markets and Trends
  • Economic Sustainability and Project Financing
  • Socioeconomic Impacts and Policy
  • Oil Shale Projects and Latest Industry Developments
  • Geology and Resource Evaluation
  • Oil Shale Mining
  • Combustion Technologies and Power Generation
  • Shale Oil Retorting
  • Oil Shale Chemistry
  • Environmental Impacts and Management (incl. Carbon Management)
  • Increasing Efficiency by Utilizing By-Products

The abstracts will be graded by Senior Advisory Board, who will choose abstracts for presentations at the Symposium.

An abstract will not be included in the Symposium program and printed in the Program Book unless the presenting author has also registered for the Symposium before July 15, 2016. The presenting author of the selected abstract must commit to attend the Symposium and present the abstract in the session at the time decided upon by the organizers.

Accepted abstracts will be posted on the website prior to the Symposium. Symposium participants will receive a Program Book upon registration.

Please note that airmailed or faxed abstracts will not be accepted. All abstracts must be submitted in English.
