An experienced and dedicated Strategic Planning Leader specialising in developing long-range perspectives and plans for critical business challenges, utilising extensive knowledge of benchmarking, data analysis, and business priorities to provide advice and counselling to business leadership. With more than 16 years’ experience in the energy sector, she joined the WEC in 2014 as a scenario planning expert. In her role as Deputy Director, she is responsible for developing various regional scenario deep dives which will also serve as input for the development for new global scenarios in 2016. She is also responsible for the World Energy Resources Report, WEC’s oldest flagship study, which covers information and data on all energy resources and cross-cutting technologies.
Previously with Eskom in the Office of the Chief Executive and Corporate Strategy and Planning Department, she lead the three year Eskom scenarios project and developed a process and tools to ensure the scenarios are applied throughout the organisation. She was also responsible for monitoring industry trends and identifying driving or restraining factors in the global electricity industry and providing input to national projects, which include the Presidential Review Committee (for South Africa’s State Owned Enterprises), Eskom participation and comments on the National Development Plan (NDP), Integrated Electricity Plan (IEP), Industrial Policy Action Plan (IPAP).
